Cut Paper Creation
Well, I’ve been seeing cut paper art for a while now. I was commissioned to make a sign and thought this would be a cool way to do it. The group I made this for was looking for a pretty artsy, less professional looking sign so I decided this was the perfect opportunity to try it out for myself.

NEW POSTER DESIGN: Arkansas Printmakers Collective
I have been terribly bad at posting any of the work I have done so far this semester while working in the Marketing & Communications Department at Hendrix College. This is the first poster I’ve shared even though I must have created at least a dozen posters in addition some brochures, ads, and other elements.
Anyway, the Arkansas Printmaking Collective exhibit looks really cool. I tried to have the poster portray some of the major printmaking aspects like inking and the sort of stamp-like feel.

WHIMSICAL THANK YOU CARD!
I took a little hiatus from blogging at the end of summer as I was wrapping up an internship, moving back across the country, and a series of other mini trips. Finally I am back on a semi-regular schedule and will be back to posting my work, the work of people who inspire me, and other things I just find interesting!
First up is definitely something I love, cards. I have a small obsession with cards because everything seems to be becoming digitalized. I love being able to hold something like a letter or card! And nothing makes a card better than being hand made! So because of that, I drew this fun Black Lab Thank You card the other day for a friend! Lately I have been very into illustrations so this was a fun way to try some illustrating skills out!

VISIONARY VIDEO
I watched this video recently and thought it was a good reminder to get back to some basic ways of being inspired and staying creative. TO-FU Design from Japan thought of 29 ways to keep creativity up and lulls to a minimum. I’m a fan.
